I see the "Members Only" message when I click to access a class

This will sometimes happen if you have bookmarked a class or if a class comes up in your browser history and you visit it without being logged in. Your internet service provider and / or your browser can “cache” or save a web page’s content so that even after you log in, and maybe can visit other classes, you still might see that error message for one specific class!

Here’s how you sort that out:

  1. Clear your browser cache and restart your browser (or better yet restart your computer). Technology, like humans, can all use a little restart from time to time!
  2. Login to the virtual studio using this link: https://ironwoodyogastudios.com/my-account/
  3. Then browse to the class you want to take after you have logged in

How do I know what level I am?

Can I eat before taking a yoga class?

It is best to practice on an empty or semi-empty stomach. Try not to eat heavy meals 2-3 hours prior to practice.

What if I’m not Flexible?

You’re in the right place.

You do not need to be flexible to practice yoga. You will gain more flexibility as you continue to practice. Flexibility is only one component of a yoga practice. It is not the be-all-end-all by any means. Yoga is about relationship to the self not about touching your toes. Though, that can be rewarding.

What is Vinyasa?

Vinyasa is a fluid and active style of yoga, focused on breath and movement. You don’t have to be flexible or strong to get started. This practice is designed to meet you where you are.

All levels are welcome, however, we highly recommend that you start with Foundation or Essentials if you have never taken a vinyasa class before.

Expect to experience a range of postures: Standing, seated, balancing, inverted, face down, face up, sun salutations, breath work, relaxation and then joy.

What if I have an injury?

Having an injury need not prevent you from practicing yoga and in fact can often time resolve many injuries. It is important that you never feel any pain while practicing yoga. Discomfort is ok, but never sharp pain. Listen and trust your body and only do what you can do that day.

If you have specific question on what you should or shouldn’t do based on injury or health, please email us at info@ironwoodyogastudios.com. We will be happy assist you either by email or over the phone.

How often should I practice yoga?

It depends on your goals, but in order to build strength, more flexibility and significantly reduce stress in your life and ideal practice would be 3-5 times/week.
