Kelly Kjos

Kelly took her first yoga class in 2002 and practiced sporadically until 2011, when she committed to daily practice.  Within a few months of consistent practice, she began to notice changes in both her body and mind.  She discovered inner and outer strength and flexibility, greater self-confidence and awareness, clarity, a sense of peace, as well as feelings of wholeness and contentment that she was previously unable to attain, regardless of her efforts.

Kelly attended Urban Yoga’s 200 hour teacher training program in March of 2014.  This initial training sparked the fire of desire to keep practicing, studying, gaining more experiences and knowledge, and attending more trainings.  Since then, she has completed Bryan Kest’s Power Yoga Training, Off the Mat into the Word,Trauma Informed  Prison Yoga Project certification with James Fox, and she also obtained her 300 hour advanced tantric Hatha/meditation intensive from Zuna Yoga in Bali, Indonesia.

She has learned to teach and has taught many styles of yoga including power vinyasa, yin, restorative, hatha, tantric hatha, yoga nidra, meditation, to those with special needs, to incarcerated folks, and to people in addiction recovery.

The practice has taught her how to live with more grace, ease and gratitude.  She is passionate about sharing her love of and experience with yoga and meditation to anyone willing to try it  and simply do their best.  These practices have allowed her to completely reshape her life from one of misery and addiction to one of joy and freedom.

Kelly strives to teach in a manner that empowers students to find their own inner guru, strength and power.  It is her aim to guide you, through the practices, to living your best life that is authentic to you.
